Clay In The Potter’s Hand
Isaiah 55:6-9
6 Seek the Lord while He may be found,
Call upon Him while He is near.
7 Let the wicked forsake his way,
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Let him return to the Lord,
And He will have mercy on him;
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.
8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Father, we acknowledge that You are higher and greater. We pray that people in this land will acknowledge Your greatness. Men will recognize that they are but passing shadows. We pray that in this nation we will fully acknowledge your Lordship. Come and take Your rightful place on the throne in our hearts. I pray Lord, that we will humble ourselves before You and seek Your face in prayer, knowing that without You we are nothing. Come and take charge of our lives and drive the work of Your ministry and establish Your plans. Let our hearts be aligned to Your purposes. Raise up people to value prayer – to make intercessions through the Spirit.
Someone saw an image of clay being molded. So we prayed for the vessels that God is going to use – that they will be willing to be molded by God. We prayed for God to prepare their hearts to be tender and willing to be used by Him. We also prayed for an emptying of self and the infilling with more of God.
