From Captivity to Freedom
This afternoon, as we continued to pray for the outpouring of His Holy Spirit, we prayed also for His righteousness to reign in this land. There was a strong measure of faith to believe that the Lord would restore and be exhorted as believers exalt His name wherever they are planted. The verse from Isaiah 58:12 echoed strongly within us,
“Those from among you shall build the old waste places;
you shall raise up the foundations of many generations;
And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach,
the Restorer of Streets to dwell in.”
Someone in our meeting prayed for the mercies of God to be released across Wales as the Lord opens and awakens our hearts to Him and the things that He is doing. Shortly after someone read Psalms 126 aloud, everyone broke out in spontaneous singing. I, too, felt that God will take this land out of captivity, with people dreaming again as their mouths will be filled with laughter and tongues with singing. May all eyes be open to see what the Lord has done.
Psalms 126:5-6
“Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.
He who continually goes forth weeping,
bearing seed for sowing,
shall doubtless come again with rejoicing,
bringing his sheaves with him.”
Before we closed the meeting, we held hands and prayed for peace and the sovereignty of God in the city of Manchester regarding the bomb that exploded during a music concert.
